MMA

MMA: 

As one of the most intense sports out there, mixed-martial arts demands more strength and endurance than most other workouts, Mixed Martial Arts is the fastest growing sport in the world. MMA encompasses disciplines from various martial arts and Olympic sports, such as boxing, kick-boxing, karate, jiu-jitsu, muay thai, tae kwon do, wrestling and judo enabling you to both strike and grapple with your opponent whilst standing and on the ground.  MMA sessions are therefore demanding, hard work and involve a lot of up-close fighting techniques.

If you have never trained in either MMA, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai or Wrestling before and aren’t sure if MMA is for you then you are very welcome to come along to watch a class first. Or, if you’re not sure what is the best way to start your MMA training, please call or email us for advice. Experienced Coach Vinicius Moura covers the fundamentals of the discipline so beginners (and more experienced students) are welcome to attend.

Vinicius Moura is a very experience Instructor in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA, who started Jiu Jitsu at the age of 18 in the world famous Gracie Barra gym in Rio de Janeiro. Vinnie has a third degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and in the 2014 European Open Jiu Jitsu Championship came 2nd in the Black Belt Ultra Heavy Category and 3rd in the Black Belt Open Class.
